The tear-webbing polyamide energy absorber with integrated lanyard and 2 karabiners, reference 40, is an item of personal protective equipment against falls from a height.
It is recommended to use an energy absorber with an integrated lanyard with a maximum length of 2 meters, taking into account elongation in the event of a fall and, most importantly, ensuring a minimum free working space (headroom) of 6 meters.
Check that there are no obstacles in the path in the event of a fall.

Lanyard with energy absorber Ref. 351 — PPE EN 354+355 SASSI France
The lanyard with absorber Ref. 351 is a complete PPE combining a polyamide tear-webbing energy absorber and an integrated lanyard with 2 Ref. 40 karabiners, conforming to EN 354 + EN 355. It limits the impact force transmitted to the body to a maximum of 6 kN during a fall.
Technical characteristics
- Polyamide tear-webbing energy absorber
- Integrated lanyard with 2 Ref. 40 karabiners (25 kN)
- Impact force limited to ≤ 6 kN (EN 355)
- Standards: EN 354 + EN 355
- CE marking — PPE category III
- EU Regulation 2016/425
Materials and manufacturing
The energy absorber of Ref. 351 works by progressive tearing of the polyamide webbing during a fall: it dissipates kinetic energy and reduces the impact force transmitted to the body below the regulatory 6 kN. The integrated lanyard with 2 karabiners ensures connection to the anchor point at all times. Complies with EU Regulation 2016/425 and EN 354/355 standards.
For which professionals?
Essential PPE for all work at height with a risk of free fall: roofers, carpenters, facade workers, steel erectors. Mandatory when the fall factor is greater than 0.5 (Labour Code). To be used with an EN 361 fall arrest harness and an EN 795 anchor point.
Frequently asked questions
After a fall, is this absorber reusable?
No. After a fall that has activated the absorber (partial or total tearing of the webbing), Ref. 351 must be immediately removed from service and replaced. A deployed absorber no longer offers the required protection.
What is the total fall distance with this absorber?
The total fall distance depends on the length of the lanyard (1 m) + the absorber deployment (max. 175 cm according to EN 355) + the user's height and the height of the anchor point. Calculate the necessary free height before any use.
Is this PPE compatible with all fall arrest harnesses?
Ref. 351 is compatible with any EN 361 fall arrest harness equipped with a dorsal attachment point. The supplied Ref. 40 karabiner (25 kN) is compatible with standard rings. Check compatibility with your harness before use.
