Working in an aerial work platform (AWP), whether it's a scissor lift, telescopic boom, or spider lift, places the operator at height in a constantly moving environment. Work is carried out on various sites: facades, roofs, metal structures, networks, public lighting. While the AWP offers a work platform, it does not eliminate the risk of falling: the AWP tipping over, impact with an obstacle, mechanical failure, or a simple misstep can throw the operator off the platform. Wearing a fall arrest harness in the AWP remains mandatory and non-negotiable; working at height leaves no room for error.

To secure every use, appropriate fall protection PPE for the AWP is essential: an approved fall arrest harness, a short lanyard, and an anchor point dedicated to the platform floor or railings, allowing the operator to remain connected in all circumstances, from elevated movements to stationary interventions.
